Someone Fired Bullets into a Young Dolphin's Heart, Brain, and Spine

Who would shoot a young bottlenose dolphin to death?

That's what authorities with the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are trying to figure out.

And it's up to us to keep the pressure on them until they successfully identify the person behind this crime! Sign the petition.

In early March 2024, people found a juvenile bottlenose dolphin washed onto a beach in Louisiana - and the sight was gruesome.

Not only was the animal deceased, but its body was riddled with bullets. Someone had shot it in multiple areas, including its brain, heart, and spine, leaving bullets lodged in its corpse. Afterwards, the animal's lifeless body floated in the water until it washed up on shore.

Not only is this morally wrong, but it's also very illegal. According to NOAA, "harassing, harming, killing, or feeding wild dolphins is prohibited under the Marine Mammal Protection Act."

Whoever violated federal law by tormenting and murdering this innocent young dolphin must be found and brought to justice now! Authorities are offering a reward on information leading to the successful identification of the perpetrator - but we have to make sure they don't give up or turn attention away once the media on this crime has died down.
